WHO WAS TIM?

“Live like Tim… Never stop laughing”

That's the phrase that Tim's friends decided to imprint on
wristbands that they would wear and share with others.
Tim Piazza was a kind and joyful young man who wanted
nothing more than to make people laugh and make a
positive impact on the world. Those that knew him best
talked about his big heart and his desire to brighten
your day. Nobody was better at making people smile.

He lived in Readington Township, NJ his whole life and was
a graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School where he played football and was also on the spring track team, taking part in shot put, javelin and discus. He was a Red Devil Ambassador at Hunterdon Central

and participated in the school's Teen Prevention Education Program. He volunteered with the Hunterdon Outreach Program to help teach special needs children football, basketball, and baseball and took part in the Hopeful Holidays and Readington's Holiday Gifts Program, donating gifts to those in need. Tim was a sophomore engineering student at Penn State University where he was actively involved in the fundraising and operations for the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON).

Tim loved spending his summers at the beach with his family and friends, jet skiing, playing golf and basketball, hitting the gym and simply hanging with his friends.

His career ambition was to develop state of the art prosthetic devices to help

those who most desperately needed them. His personal goal was to one day

start a family of his own while continuing to give back to the community, be a

good friend, and find ways to put a smile on people’s faces.

Unfortunately, Tim's life came to a tragic end on February 4, 2017. In order to

fulfill Tim’s life goals, and in an effort to give life to his legacy, his family and

friends established a foundation in Tim's memory to help others who are in

need. The Timothy J. Piazza Memorial Foundation raises money to be used to

help children who are in need of prosthetic devices and to provide scholarships

to  Hunterdon Central students who embody the interests and attributes that defined Tim’s life.
